Services for Billy Joseph Rachels, 71, of Thomasville will be 11:00AM, Monday, September 25, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jerry Kennedy will officiate and interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Rachels passed away on September 22, 2017 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born March 31, 1946 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Willie and Gussie Gregory Rachels. Mr. Rachels was a graduate of Thomasville High School and was a DJ at local radio stations. He enjoyed comic books and music, especially Elvis Presley. Survivors include son, Robert Ryan Rachels and wife Angie of Sycamore, Georgia; two grandchildren, Landon and Alexas Rachels; sister, Josephine Bennett of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by brothers Charles Rachels and Howard Rachels. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM before the service at the funeral home.
