Funeral service for Blanche Culp Ragan, 87, of Thomasville will be Monday January 22, 2024 at 3 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Ms. Ragan passed away January 19, 2024 at Camellia Gardens. Born on July 5, 1936, in Clayton, AL, to the late Julius R. Culp and Iris Baker Culp. She was married to Vinson C. Ragan who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Lee Ragan and his wife Ann. Blanche was a devoting grandmother to Alicia Ragan, Kyle Ragan, Kristen Marie Ashworth and her husband Mike, Mary Elizabeth Bedford and her husband Robert, and Brandon James Ragan; great-grandchild, Roman Ashworth.
Blanche had a passion for sports, especially cheering on her favorite teams. She was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons. Blanche's spirit and enthusiasm for her teams will be remembered fondly.
Blanche was preceded in death by her two sons, Ray H. Ragan and Victor Kent Ragan, as well as her grandson, Victor Lee Ragan. She was also preceded in death by her brothers JR Culp, James Culp and sisters Dorothy Pettigrew and Marion Norman. Blanche is survived by her sisters, Claire Holman of Merdian, MS, and Oma Yandle of Thomasville, who will cherish their memories together.
