Bob "Hutch" Hutchison

Robert C. (Hutch) Hutchison, Sr. died January 26, 2016 at the age of 64. Services will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, January 29, 2016 at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor and Rev. Jim Smith will officiate and interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Hutch was born in 1951 in Albany, Georgia to the late Alvin & Evelyn Hutchison. If you knew Hutch, you know that he was the embodiment of life. Whether at his office or in his backyard grilling, he always had a smile on his face. He exuded kindness, selflessness, and service to others. He was the essence of jolly. He is now enjoying a family reunion in Heaven where he is reunited with family, friends, and pets. He is enjoying a BBQ and a cold beverage with his hero John Wayne. He is enjoying not just another day in paradise, but forever in paradise. Although he will be terribly missed, his legacy will continue to shine throughout his community because people will never forget how you make them feel. He was a mischievous student of Albany High School (1969), Darton College, and Georgia State University. He served the Thomasville community as a State Farm agent for more than 35 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin & Evelyn Hutchison, and in laws, Lee & Dorothy Henderson. He is survived by his lovely wife Catherine Lynn Hutchison whom they shared 43 years of marriage. His survived by his children Holli Hutchison Johnson, her husband Michael James Johnson, grandchildren Mallorie Danielle Johnson 19, Lynlee Madison Johnson 15, and Maddox James Johnson 4 of Thomasville, Ga. Robert Callaway Hutchison, Jr of Thomasville, Ga, and Hilliary Lee Hutchison of Blue Ridge, Ga. He is survived by his older brother Alvin Maurice Hutchison, Jr and wife, Truddy Young Hutchison of Rossville, Ga and their children and grandchildren, Heather & Ali Sonmez of Cumming, Ga with children Nathaniel, Isabelle, and Hadley, Hope & Allen Wong of Atlanta, Ga with son Oliver. He is survived by his older sister Brenda Joy Hatcher and husband, Marc Hatcher of Cartersville, Ga and their children and grandchildren, Marc & April Hatcher of St. Augustine, FL with children Jordan, Miles, and Emma, Hayley & Richard Gurley of Cartersville, Ga and their children Madeline and Max McGinnis. He is also survived by brothers-in-law David Lee Henderson of Atlanta, Ga and Douglas & Laura Henderson of Atlanta, Ga with children Reeves, Abby, and Alex Henderson. And last, but certainly not the least, he is survived by his beloved dogs Roxie & Chloe Hutchison of Thomasville, Ga, grand-dogs Bingo & Bullet of Thomasville, Ga, and grand-dog Holiday of Blue Ridge, Ga. Donations can be made in Hutch’s behalf to the Southern Regional Technical College Foundation in Thomasville, Ga where he served as a Foundation Board Member for many years.
