Bobbie Lucille Price Norris

Services for Bobbie Price Norris, 94, of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 17, 2022, at First Baptist Church Chapel with Reverend Paul Ballard officiating. The interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Norris passed away December 13, 2022, at her home. Born June 6, 1928, in Moultrie, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Henry Branche Price and Bessie Littleton Price. On June 16, 1946, at Dawson Street Baptist Church, she married James Fred Norris. Mrs. Norris was a 1946 graduate of Thomasville High School, retired from Southern Bell after 35 years of service, and was a member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Other survivors include daughters Dawn Ansley, Lynne Chastain and husband Allan, all of Thomasville, and Kay Marple and husband Robert of Valdosta; grandchildren Mariea Jackson and husband Rob, Natalie Jones and husband Ben, Julie Chastain, Trebor Marple and wife Kate, Joshua Marple and wife Laura, Meghan Perry and husband Creed; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Hygema, Sue Jackson and husband Bobby, and Casey Kinert. She was preceded in death by husband J. Fred Norris and granddaughter Kim Ansley; as well as siblings Janet Holland, Buck Price, and Margie Patterson. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the First Baptist Church Chapel followed by the 11:00 am funeral service with burial at Laurel Hill.
