Bobby Dewitt Hasty, Sr

Graveside services for Bobby Dewitt Hasty, Sr., 74 of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Mississippi St. Rev. Gerald Horne will officiate. Mr. Hasty passed away April 7 at his residence. Born May 1, 1938 in Boston, he was the son of the late Charlie Hasty and Trudie Singletary Hasty Asbell. He was married to Lula Jeren Hurst Hasty who preceded him in death in 1999. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired electrician from US Filter after 39 years of service. He is survived by his children, Pam Hasty Blow of Orange Park, Fl, and Bobby Dewitt Hasty, Jr of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jared Blow, Garrett Hasty, Noah Hasty and Skyler Hasty; brother, Wallace Hasty of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by grandson, Chase Blow and sister, Myrtle Dixon. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
