Services for Bobby Eugene Moncrief of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Big Creek Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Dewitt Rehberg will officiate and interment will be at Big Creek Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Big Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Moncrief died Dec. 31, 2008 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born January 31, 1930 in Thomas Co., GA he was the son of the late Josh and Ellen Rebecca Pope Moncrief. On February 11, 1951 in Ochlocknee he married Hazel Faye NeSmith Moncrief who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea with the 1st Calvary Division. Mr. Moncrief worked for Industrial Boilers in sales and management. He was a Mason and Shriner. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gary Heusner of Athens, GA, daughter, Brenda Moncrief of Thomasville, son and daughter-in-law, David and Jane Moncrief of Leesburg, GA, son, Robert Moncrief of Thomasville; grandchildren, Alex Gunthrop, Bruce Gunthrop, Stephanie Fewell, Jessie Fewell, Anna Rehberg, Dylan Moncrief, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson, Stephen Fewell, II, sisters, Maureen Clark, Elanor York, Mabel Griffin, Nell Chambers and brothers, Josh Moncrief, Jr and Harry Moncrief. Memorial may be made to Big Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM on Friday at the funeral home. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
