Bonnie Faye Yowhn Davis, 70, of Barwick , GA, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, the 2nd of December 2017. She was born the 20th of June 1947 in Brooks County, GA, one of six children to the late J.D. Yowhn and Alma King Yowhn. She was a lifelong resident of Barwick, where she could be seen helping and visiting her neighbors. She worked at the Barwick Post Office and the “Pecan House” and always had a smile or something funny to say. She was a member of Barwick Baptist Church. “Bear”, as she was affectionately known by her family, loved her flowers, especially her day lilies, roses and anything that bloomed. She was known for her great cooking, which she loved to do every holiday or any day for her family. She loved her family with all her heart. A service to celebrate Bonnie Faye’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, the 5th of December 2017 from the graveside of Rose Wood Cemetery (Barwick Baptist Church). The family will greet friends at the graveside immediately following and at the home. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Willie Davis of Barwick, GA; her brother, Doyle Yowhn of Coolidge, GA; her four sisters: Winona Y. Taylor (L.M.); Peggy Y. Hunter (Bobby) both of Pavo, GA; Kay Y. Vonier (Edward) of Thomasville, GA and Janice Y. Hart (James) of Pavo, GA; although, she never had children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as her own children. She will be greatly missed.
