Bonnie O'Steen

February 27, 1948 — August 20, 2025

Bonnie Ann O'Steen, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Born with a gift for connecting with people, she touched countless lives as a talented hair stylist and the proud owner of her own salon, Mane Tamer. Her chair was more than a place for a haircut- it was a place where laughter, stories, and friendships were shared. Clients quickly became friends and friends became family. She was a lifelong animal lover, sharing her home and heart with many dogs and cats through the years. Her gentle way with animals was just another reflection of the kindness and loyalty she gave so freely. Above all, she cherished her family. She was the proud mother of two children and devoted grandmother of four, each of whom adored her deeply. Family trips and memories made at her favorite place, St. George Island, will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her. Throughout her life, she faced difficult medical battles with grit and determination. She was, as everyone knew, tough as nails- yet her strength was always matched by her warmth and love. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and laughter that will live on in all who were lucky enough to know her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anne and Ralph Swanson, her sister, Jo Swanson Walker, and brother Billy Swanson. Bonnie is survived by her son, Matthew O'Steen (Victoria O'Steen); her daughter, Tina O'Steen Eubanks (Trey Eubanks); her grandchildren Gage O'Steen, Finleah, Layna, and Karris Eubanks; and her sister Sue Swanson. And a circle of dear friends, clients and loved ones who will miss her deeply. Her family will hold a private Celebration of Life in her memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Miss Kitty Feline Sanctuary or The Thomasville Humane Society.
