It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Boone Benton Felts, age 40, who departed this life on March 18, 2026. Boone was born on January 15, 1986, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late William Allen Felts, Jr. and Rebecca Benton Felts, who survives.
Boone graduated from Thomasville High School in 2004 and pursued his passion for soccer with a scholarship at Shorter College for 2 years before transferring to Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Management. During his time at Middle Tennessee State, he was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, forming lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Throughout his childhood and youth, Boone was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Thomasville.
In addition to his professional achievements, Boone enjoyed international travels and exploring different cultures and experiences. His passion for soccer extended beyond the field, as he found joy in coaching youth soccer at the YMCA, nurturing a love for the game in young athletes.
Boone is survived by his mother Rebecca Benton Felts; brother William Allen Felts III (Annais Rollins Felts); niece Allie Caroline Felts; nephews William Scott Felts, Hanson Rollins, and Jaxon Rollins; Uncle Gene Benton (Christie) and Uncle Russell Felts; cousins Amelia Benton Henritze (Porter), Bartlett Benton (Whitney), Johanna Felts, Michael Felts (Norina), and Joseph Felts.
He is preceded in death by his father William Allen Felts, Jr., grandparents William A. Felts, Sr. and Mary Ann Felts, J. Fred Benton Jr. and Laree M. Benton, and uncle James Fred "Buster" Benton III.
A service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 4 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm prior to the service. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 pm after the service at The Billiard Academy on Broad Street. Boone will be interred at West View Cemetery in Monticello, GA.
Boone Benton Felts will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
