Bower Brinson

Services for Bower Brinson of Ochlocknee are at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Grady County, GA. The Rev. A. C. Gilliard and Elder Max Childs will officiate and interment will be in Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Scott Brinson, Christopher Brinson, Bill Boyett, Allan Boyett, Ray Pearce and Bryan McLenithan. Honorary Pallbearers are Raiford Long, Weldon Gilliard, Kermit Gilliard and Wayne Gilliard. Mr. Brinson died July 30 at his residence. Born March 31, 1920 in Grady Co., GA he was the son of Walter and Emma Singletary Brinson. On February 15, 1943 in Thomasville he married Ollie Gilliard who survives. Mr. Brinson was a heavy equipment operator for Dawes Mining Co. and a Night Policeman for the City of Ochlocknee. He was of the Christian faith. Other survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Anthony Warren, son, Richard Brinson all of Ochlocknee, daughter-in-law, Janie D. Johnson of Camilla, GA, grandchildren, Kathy and Bill Boyett, Kim and Ray Pearce, Angela and Clayton Bullard, Tracy and Ricky Luke, Kerri Johnson, Amanda and Daniel Jaudon, Amy Laslow, Scott and Tina Brinson, Jackson and Kim Johnson and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Larry J. Johnson. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
