Brona Harrison, 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 6, 2025. She was born Brona Gail Henderson on June 5, 1952, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late James Arlon Henderson and Pansy Mae "Pat" Key Henderson.

Brona grew up in Winston-Salem, where she attended local schools before graduating from Mars Hill College in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. While at Mars Hill, she met her future husband, Tommy Harrison, and the two were married on July 27, 1975, in Winston-Salem. The couple recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

A longtime resident of Thomasville, Brona built a fulfilling career in catering and food service. She served as Culinary Director for both Glen Arven Country Club and First Baptist Church, where her talent, creativity, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her. In addition, she pursued her entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating Sweet and Sassy, a beloved children's clothing boutique in downtown Thomasville.

Brona was a member of the Thomasville Junior Service League, serving as President in 1988, and a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. Her generosity, grace, and leadership enriched the lives of many and reflected her enduring dedication to service and faith.

Brona is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Tommy Harrison; two children, Angela Harrison Lashells (Kevin) of West Palm Beach, Florida, and James Thomas Harrison (Heather) of Thomasville; and four cherished grandchildren, Mae Harrison, Colin Watson Lashells, Ava James Harrison, and Olivia Renée Lashells. She is also survived by nephews Jeff Henderson, Kirkland Dickey (Christine), and David Dickey (Rebecca); niece Kimberly Henderson; sisters-in-law Barbara Harrison Clinebell and Alice Harrison Dickey (William); and numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jimmy Henderson.

A graveside service celebrating Brona's life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, Georgia.

Brona will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and devotion to family, faith, and community. Her legacy of love and hospitality will continue to touch the lives of all who were blessed to know her..
