Bruce Bynum

Bruce Elbert Bynum, 54, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Coolidge, Georgia. Born on December 28, 1971, in Thomasville, Georgia, Bruce was the beloved son of Homer Leroy and Pearly Mae Bynum. He attended Thomas County Central High School. Bruce loved working outdoors, and loved his career as a semi-truck driver. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the open road.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Bynum of Thomasville, and his cherished daughter, Jessica Dessire Hitchcock, of Boynton Beach, Florida. He also leaves behind his siblings, Homer Lamar Bynum (Rachel) and Berta Mae Willis (Ricky), both of Thomasville, as well as his nephews, Dalton Bynum, Joshua Posey, and Derek Carden. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny Lee Bynum.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Allen and Allen Funeral Home at 1 PM. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
