Candace Lynne Murphy Stewart

Funeral services for Candace Lynn Murphy Stewart, 47, of Pensacola, FL, will be at 4:00PM Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Big Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Jeff Redfearn will officiate and internment will be at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Stewart died on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Covenant Hospice. Candace was born on November 2, 1964 in Colquitt County to Jeanette Redfearn and C. Bruce Murphy Sr. She grew up in Coolidge, Ga in Thomas County and graduated from Thomas County Central High School. She attended Andrew College in Statesboro. In 1986, she married Ron Lasseter and they had one child. Candace worked with Guy & Johnson CPA firm for many years before moving to Pensacola. Candace was an avid Georgia Bulldog's fan and made a point to see every Georgia game possible. In 2004, she became a member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville, Ga. Survivors include a daughter Lauren Lynne Lasseter of Thomasville, two granddaughters, Madison Lynne Brinson and Kaylee Lynne Brinson of Thomasville; her mother Jeanette Redfearn Murphy of Coolidge and her father C. Bruce Murphy, Sr. of Pensacola, FL. Also surviving are two sisters, Marsha Murphy Himel of Newnan, GA, Bonnie Murphy Hortman and husband Jay of Coolidge, GA and one brother, Steven S. Murphy of Thomasville. Other survivors include nieces Jennifer Evers Wallace and husband Kendal of LaGrange, GA, Amy Murphy Youngs and husband Todd of Saint Petersburg, FL, Gabrielle Hortman of Coolidge, GA; nephews Joshua Murphy of Tampa, FL, Garret Hortman of Coolidge, Ga, Morgan Murphy of Thomasville, GA, great nephew Rex Evers Wallace and great niece Allie Marie Youngs. Candace was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Charlotte and Clayborne Redfearn of Pavo, GA, paternal grandparents Lucille and Sam Murphy of Coolidge, GA, one brother C. Bruce Murphy, Jr. of Coolidge, GA. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Guest may sign the online register at ww.allenfh.com.
