Carol Elaine Tinsley

Carol Elaine Tinsley age 76 passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023, surrounded by a multitude of her family members. She was born in Rome Georgia on April 12, 1947, and moved to Barwick, Ga. In 1960. She recently celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary with her husband Vernon Tinsley also from Barwick, Ga. She practiced her faith in Jesus Christ by attending and serving as a Sunday school teacher at Freewill Baptist Church. One of her earlier talents was baking and cake decorating. She loved to fish and cross stitch but by far her greatest passion was planting and caring for her flowers and garden. She always enjoyed cooking for the family. After her children were out of the house, she continued her education and acquired her degree as a respiratory therapist. She was employed at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga. She is survived by her husband Vernon Tinsley of Barwick, Ga; children, Tammy Laramore (Bill Jr.) of Thomasville, Ga, Mark Tinsley of Barwick, Ga, Angie Anello (Jim) of Otto, Nc, and Rachel Roberts (Terry) of Boston, Ga; grandchildren, Trey Laramore, Ashley Laramore, Morgan Myers, Marcus Tinsley, Brittany Anello, Katie Howell, Kylie Anello, Marissa Anello, Nicky Anello, Justin Spence, Jordan Spence, Brianna Spence, and 10 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by Coleman (father), Margie Cagel (mother), Joyce Robertson (sister), Gary Cagel (brother), and infant sister Shirley Cagel.
Services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10 AM in the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Love and Reverend Michael Bass officiating. The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, from 5-7 PM at Allen & Allen.
