Caroline Hearin

Caroline Hearin died at Archbold Hospital May 17, 2019 at age 89. She was born August 30, 1929 in Avon Park, Florida to parents Bruce and Hilda Hall. She attended Eastside Grammar School in Thomasville, GA. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1946. She attended Trevecca College in Nashville , Tennessee where she was President of the music club. In 1949 she married her college sweetheart Charles Edward Haney, son of Anna and Raymond Haney, from Fairmont , West Virginia. Twins, Michael Lee and David Lynn were born on May 25, 1950 and a son , Jonathan Patrick on March 4, 1957. On August 2, 1964 David and Jonathan were killed in a motorcycle accident.

Caroline married Joe Digby in 1964. His children include David Digby (Carol) and Don Digby (Marty). Daughter, Darlene Digby is deceased.
Caroline married Dr. David Hearin in 1984. They lived in Sandy Springs and Alpharetta, Georgia until the time of his death in 2006. He is survived by David Hearin (Linda) and Nancy Dyal (Dave). Richard Hearin deceased(Phyllis)

Caroline is survived by her son Michael Haney (Bonnie) and grandchildren Rachel Olsen (Jonathan)and their eight children, Mark Haney and his two children, and Jonathan Haney. David Digby (Carol) 2 children and 4 grandchildren, Don Digby (Marti) 5 children and 8 grandchildren, David Hearin (Linda) 2 children and 1 grandchild. Nancy Dyal (Dave) 2 children and 4 grandchildren, Richard Hearin deceased (Phyllis) 4 children and one grandchild.

A gathering for family and friends is being planned for Saturday afternoon June 8th from 4-6 PM at the First United Methodist Church Reception Hall.
