Carolyn F. Sampson, age 86, of Thomasville, GA, passed away on March 8, 2025. Funeral services for will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Dawson Street Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Reverend Lee Waller officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Born on January 31, 1939, in Cairo, GA, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of Howard and Ethel Strickland.

Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her kindness, compassion, and giving spirit. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she adored family gatherings and created cherished memories traveling with her loved ones. Carolyn enjoyed bowling and playing cards with family and friends, bringing joy to those around her. She was an active member of Dawson Street Baptist Church, where she nurtured her faith and formed lasting connections within the community.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Gene Sampson; children, Dawn Sampson Stapp (Waymon) and Gene Sampson, Jr, both of Thomasville; her granddaughter, Sophi Sampson of Thomasville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Vernon Strickland and Ralph Strickland.

Her family would like to thank Abide and their caregivers along with Miya and Anja for their compassionate care they provided to the family.
