Carrie Beatrice Allen

Services for Carrie Beatrice Allen, age 89, are at 2:30PM on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Barwick Baptist Church. Her son, Missionary Lester Allen and her grand-son-in-law, Pastor Glen Scoggin will officiate and interment is in Roselawn Cemetery in Barwick with Pastor Tim Robson officiating. Mrs. Allen went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born October 22, 1914 in Brooks County she was one of six daughters born to the late S. Jerome and Lottie Castleberry. She retired from Sunnyland Meat Packing to open her ceramic studio in Barwick. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Allen was a Christian and a member of Barwick Baptist Church. Survivors include five daughters and two sons, Corene Bland Stanley of Lee, FL. and her twin Florene Butler Harold of Thomasville, Perry Allen Judy of Ocala, FL, Lester Allen Helen of Barwick, Sandra McCammon Bob, deceased of Thomasville, Joyce Freeman Jimmy of Barwick and her twin, Janice Martin David, deceased of Barwick; seventeen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Her husband, Curtis L. Allen, two grandchildren and one great grandchild, precedes her in death. The family will receive friends at the Barwick Baptist Church from 7-9PM on Friday.
