Services for Carrie Nix Ansley, 90, of Pelham, GA. are at 2:00PM on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Grady Co., GA., where she was a member. The Rev. Mike Keown will officiate and interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers are her grandsons. Mrs. Ansley died, October 2, 2004 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care. Born August 24, 1914 in Grady Co., GA. she was the daughter of the late Leroy Nix and Susie Sellers Nix Miller. She was married to Henry L. Ansley on August 24, 1929. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Hubert and Mildred Ansley of Thomasville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Maelene and Lindsey Shores of Putney, GA.; son, Hershel P. Ansley of Boston, GA.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Charlotte Ansley of Pelham, GA.; sister, Bernice Sellers of Pelham, GA.; 20grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 27 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two granddaughters, one great grandson and five sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 435 Pine Forest Road, Ochlocknee, GA 31773.
