Services for Catherine Sue Lightfoot Griner, 62, of Thomasville, are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2008, at Glad Tidings Assembly, where she was a member. The Rev. Brent Welch will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Griner died November 22, 2008 at her residence. Born February 13, 1946, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Lightfoot and Arcie Walker Lightfoot, who survives. Mrs. Griner was retired from Archbold Memorial Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. Survivors include son, Glynn Griner of Thomasville; daughters, Gina Griner and Natalie Griner both of Thomasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Karen Lightfoot of Thomasville and Waylon and Deb Lightfoot of Sanford, Fla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Glynn Lewis of Dayton, Texas and Dorothy and Troy Horne of Moultrie; granddaughter, Ashley Griner of Thomasville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 on Sunday. Many thanks to the Oncology Department and medical staff of Archbold Memorial Hospital for their heroin efforts in her survival for 18 years.
