Memorial services for Cava Roberta Lee Dicasali, 92, of Thomasville GA., will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Dawson Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ramon Hernandez and Rev. Carl Howard will officiate. Mrs. Dicasali passed away peacefully on May 6, 2009 after a short illness. Born April 4, 1917 to Charlie Henry Lee and his wife Myram Delila Stephens Lee in Reno GA, she was raised in Tallahassee FL. She met B. L. Dick Dicasali, who was a Major in the US Army during WWII, when he was stationed at Camp Gordon Johnson, FL and they were married on Feb 4 1944. After the war they moved to Cleveland OH and Greenville PA, where she was active in the Hospital Auxiliary and United Methodist Church. She and her husband moved to Thomasville in 1964 where they opened and operated Chandlers Drive-in until 1973. She was a member of Dawson Street United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dicasali was preceded in death by her husband, B. L. Dick Dicasali of Thomasville; her parents, brothers F. Park. Lee of Jacksonville FL and William J. Lee of Tallahassee FL, and sister Susie M. Lee of Tallahassee FL. She is survived by her Son, Ray L. Dicasali and wife Jeanne Morton Dicasali of Atlanta; grandchildren John M. Dicasali and wife Jennifer Adams and Megan Dicasali, all of Atlanta; brothers Clyde H. Lee and R Ed. Lee of Tallahassee FL, Gene M Lee of Jacksonville FL, Dozier W. Lee of Green Cove Springs, FL; sisters Lilly Belle Sykes of Quincy FL. and Martha J. Herold of Saint James City, FL.
