Services for Cavis Kay Smith Harrell of Pavo will be 3:00p.m. Monday April 5, 2004 at Celebration Church. The Revs. Jimmy Bryson and Greg Souders will officiate. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ricky Bynum, Gary Roy, Pascal Autry, Willie Green, Tommy Sadler, Allen Cliett, Kenny Curry, and Calvin Strange. Born May 3, 1937 in Colquitt County, Georgia, Mrs. Harrell was the daughter of the late Alton Pate and Mildred Barksdale. On March 15, 1952 she married William Henry Harrell who also preceded her in death. She was an upholstery supervisor at Southern Manor. Survivors include daughter Nawana Godwin and husband Lavon of Pelham, daughter Kathy Bynum and husband Lamar of Thomasville, daughter Brenda Wood and husband Joey of Thomasville, daughter Teresa Overholts of Ochlocknee, son Mike Harrell and wife Katrina of Thomasville, son Richard Harrell and wife DeAnne of Thomasville, son Johnathan Harrell and wife Renee of Pavo. Other survivors include brother Billy Pate and wife Shelby of Mobile, AL, brother and sister in law Gene Harrell and wife Alice of Albany, sister in law and brother in law Margaret Burchett and Jim of Ashland, KY. Mrs. Harrell had 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Angel Michelle. The family will receive friends from 7-9p.m. Sunday night at the funeral home.
