Services for Cecil Ted Harris of Adairsville, GA are at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kevin Odom will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Harris died Friday, January 5 in Adairsville, GA. Born March 16, 1943 in Grady Co., GA he was the son of the late Ellis and Lottie Long Harris. He was married to Wilma Howard Harris who survives. Mr. Harris lived in Thomasville until 1992. He attended Thomas County and Grady County Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Thomasville Church of Christ. He worked for the Dailey Tribune in Cartersville, GA. Other survivors include son, E-6 Cecil Ted Harris, Jr. of Memphis, TN, daughters, Teresa Moore and Kimberly James both of Thomasville, stepdaughters, Cynthia Evans of Valdosta, GA, Rebecca Jones of Thomasville, stepson, Christopher Cox of Grady Co., GA; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother, Vernon Harris of Reno, Nevada, sister, Betty Jean Harris Henderson of Macon, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. Brothers, Oneal Harris, Donice Harris, Milton Harris and sister, Carol Harris, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM on Monday at the funeral home.
