Charles Alvin Boettcher

Services for Charles Alvin Boettcher of Thomasville are at 7:00PM on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Bob Hutchinson will officiate and interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury, Connecticut. Mr. Boettcher died December 3, 2005 at his residence. Born August 12, 1930 in New York City, NY he was the son of the late Alvin and Elsie Maher Boettcher. On September 9, 1995 in Thomasville he married Rose Malenfant Boettcher who survives. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Oil Dri as a Senior Purchasing Agent. Other survivors include stepdaughter and son-in-law, Claire and Thomas Hoxie, stepson and daughter-in-law, Steven and Cynthia Poole all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Thomas Hoxie, Jr, Bethany Poole, Jessica Poole and cousins, Bill & Shirley Marx of New York. He was a friend for 29 years and a husband for 10 years. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Drive, Thomasville, GA 31757 or to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA 31792.
