Charles Glenn Carter

Graveside services for Charles Glenn Carter of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born on January 16, 1951 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Charles Glenn Carter and Dorothy Wade Carter. Mr. Carter was a 1969 graduate of Central High School where played football wearing number 42 and loved being with his teammates and friends. He was retired from the US Postal Service, was a member of First Baptist Church and loved his cat Jerry. He was formally marred to Judy Lee Young Carter and they had two sons Donnie Carter who lives in Cairo and Chuck Carter who preceded him in death in 2011. Other survivors include his brother and sister-in-law John and Brenda Carter of Thomasville; grandchildren Kipp Carter, Larran Carter, Hunter Carter, and Brandon Carter; niece Courtney Carter Simpson and her husband Rob. He was preceded in death by his brother Phillip Carter. Mr. Carter's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00PM.
