Charles Mahlon Cooper Jr., 73 of Whigham, passed away on September 13, 2025. He was born on April 20, 1952 in Cairo to the late Charles M. Cooper Sr. and Marjorie Merritt Cooper Cumbest.
Charles was a dedicated auto mechanic for many years. He shared his expertise and love for the craft at Proctor Honda, where his skills and warm demeanor made a lasting impact on his colleagues and customers. Beyond his career, Charles enjoyed fishing, spending peaceful days by the water, throwing tools around while working on older cars, and often dabbled in woodworking. He was a simple man who appreciated the little things in life and loved his family very much.
He is survived by his children, Patrick Cooper (Brandi) of Coolidge and Mathew Cooper (Priscilla) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Nolan Cooper and Abby Cooper; and sisters Janice Lang (Homer) of Whigham and Susan Knight (Lyndall) of Thomasville.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Cooper and his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
