Charles Henry Cox

Memorial service for Charles Henry Cox, 82, of Thomasville will be 3:00PM, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Mr. Cox passed away on January 14, 2018. Born July 21, 1935 in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Jake T. and Kate Collins Cox. He was a graduate of Florida State University School of Journalism, after which he worked in television news broadcast. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, where he sang in the church choir. He also enjoyed reading, outdoor activities, and his daily visits to the YMCA. He is survived by his wife, Becky Hardison Cox of Thomasville; daughters, Alison A Cox of Marietta, Georgia and Tracie Alane Cox; step-son, Andrew T. Owen (Lynn) of Dalton, Georgia; grandchildren Ashley Kilgore (Wesley) and Drew Owen (Aspen) of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Sheldon Owen of Columbus, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Angela Owen and grandchildren, Curt and Matt Owen of Tifton, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Linda Owen and grandchildren, Raegan Marie and Grant Todd Owen of Conyers, Georgia; three great grandsons; brother-in-law, Bill Hardison (Patsy) of Brunswick, Georgia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dr. Jerry Cox of Moultrie; stepsons, Timothy Dwayne Owen of Tifton and Seth Todd Owen of Conyers, Georgia.
