Graveside services for Charles D. Singleton, 70, of Pavo and a member of Salem Baptist Church, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. John Grebeta will officiate. Mr. Singleton died October 28 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born, Sept. 1, 1940 in Tampa, Fla., he was the son of the late Clomer D. and Agnes Harrell Singleton. He was married to Mary Cone Singleton for 40 years, who survives. Mr. Singleton was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired Trooper for the Georgia State Patrol. After retirement he graduated from Valdosta State University with a BA in Criminal Law and he worked with Universal Adjustors until retirement in 2003. Other survivors include daughters, Jean Parrish and husband, Don of Pavo and Jayne S. Sadler and husband, Benny of Thomasville; grandchildren, Hannah Parrish, Ashley Sadler and Conner Sadler; sisters, Betty S. Howell and husband, James of Milledgeville and Sue Dooling and husband, Jerry of Bainbridge. Memorials may be made to Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, Inc. for the Boys Ranch in Hahira, Ga., P.O.
