Mr. Sampson died October 2, 2006 at his residence. Born Jan 1, 1928 he was the son of the late Stamat Sampson II and Ella Mae Joiner Sampson. Mr. Sampson was married to Joyce Holland Sampson who precedes him in death. Survivors include sons & daughters - in-law, Alton & Patricia Sampson of Thomasville and Brian & Kelly Sampson of Blairsville, GA, grandson / adopted son Dustin Sampson and wife Heather of Blairsville, GA, grandson, Nicholas Sampson of Thomasville, granddaughter, Courtney Kelly of Thomasville, great grandson Matthew Sampson of Blairsville, GA, sister Mary Nelson of San Antonio TX, and brother and sister-in-law Stamat Sampson III and Lila Jean Sampson of Thomasville.
