Services for Charles Emory Coffee, Sr., 83, of Thomasville are 11 am, Friday, July 1, 2011 at Gatlin Creek Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Dr. Don Prevatt and Rev. Steve Wooten will officiate and interment will be in Fredonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Coffee passed away June 28, 2011 at Archbold Hospital. Born August 23, 1927 in Branford, Fl, he was the son of the late Allie Brown Coffee and Hattie Love Sherrod Coffee. He was married to Sarah Marjorie Walker Harrison Coffee who survives. He was preceded in death by his first wife Martha Nan Jones Coffee on February 14, 1972. Mr. Coffee was owner and founder of Coffee Insurance for 45 years. He graduated from Memphis State University, Norman Park College and Valdosta State University and was a Gideon. Other survivors include children, Charles E. Coffee, Jr. and wife Connie, Bruce Coffee and wife Karen, all of Thomasville, Anna Marie Coffee Luckett and husband Steve of Dublin, Ms, Martha Nan Coffee of Pascagoula, Ms, G.W. Billy Harrison of Thomasville, Tim Harrison of Tallahassee, Ann Harrison Ragan and husband Lee, Nancy Marie Wollum and husband Lee all of Thomasville and Mark E. Harrison and wife Debbie of Savannah; grandchildren, Charles Brandon Coffee, William Seth Coffee, Jesse Larkin Coffee, Stephen Bruce Coffee, Caroline Nan Spence, Malorie Nell Luckett, Amy Elizabeth Luckett, Robert Earle Harrison, Allen Chad Harrison, Katie Storm Harrison, Jarryd Kyle Ragan, Jennifer Alicia Ragan, Ashley Marie Wollum, Robert Wollum, Kathy Wollum Cochran and Ashley Wiggins-Conte; 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brothers-in-law, Ralph McDonald and wife Mabel of Moultrie and Col. Sol D. Whitten and wife Donna of Miami, sister-in-law, Frances Hiers Coffee of Lakeland, Fl and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Erma Lee Knight, James Coffee, Irvin C. Coffee, Nell Coffee McDonald, William C. Coffee and Frances Coffee Whitten.
