Services for Charles William Perez, Jr, 89 of Thomasville, GA were held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 26 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Howard Halladay officiated and interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Perez passed away March 22 at his residence. Born September 17, 1924 in Tampa, FL, he was the son of the late Charles William Perez, Sr and Grace DesChamps Perez. He was married to Anna Mae Diaz Perez who survives. Mr. Perez was a veteran of the United States Navy and served from December 1943 – April 1946. He was a graduate of University of Florida, class of 1948. He was CEO of various trucking companies throughout the US, he retired as president of Grandoff Investments, was vice chairman of Board of Directors of Tri-County Bank in Trenton Florida and he served as Lector for Sacred Heart Church in Tampa. He enjoyed Photography, sailing and horticulture with particular interest in Bromeliads and Bonsai. Mr. Perez had a wonderful sense of humor and collected jokes. He was a loving husband for 65 years, was a generous father, brother and friend who was highly respected by all who knew him. Other survivors include his daughters, Rebecca Ann Moncrief (Craig) of Bonita Springs, FL, Mariana Perez of Fountain Hills, AZ, Grace Elizabeth Perez of San Ramon, CA and Carla Perez Laviolette (John) of Metairie, LA; grandchildren, Jessica Marie Ross (Brad), Melanie Christine Cross (Stephen), Daniel Timothy Murphy (Laura), Rena Perez Fleming, Larissa Marie Fleming, Christopher Charles Burkert, Ross Edward Burkert, Lauren Nicole Williams (Jeff), Marcelle Elise Beaulieu, and Amy Rene Laviolette; great-grandchildren, Connor Bradley Ross, Riley Marie Ross, Dylan Timothy Cross, Liam Stephen Cross and Cadence Nicole Williams; nephews, Richard Poe, Bruce Poe, Dale Poe and niece, Brenda Poe Kyzer.
