Charles “Chuck” Stanley, 79, passed away on May 27th, 2023 at his home in Boston, GA surrounded by his loving family. A memorial visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm on Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at Boston City Cemetery. Chuck was born in Buchanan County, VA on December 22, 1943 to the late Robert and Gertrude Stanley (Skeens). He was a member of the United States Army where he was a paratrooper and trained canine units. In 1974, he started his own business, Stanley Construction, in Boston, GA where he was a well-known custom home builder and land developer who built his homes with “quality, integrity, and pride”. Chuck was an avid reader, as well as a devoted nature lover and explorer. His passion for the outdoors was unmistakable to all who knew and loved him. Chuck was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister Geneva Stanley of Virginia, brother Robert Stanley II of Ohio, and brother Nathan Stanley of Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Hisako Stanley of Thomasville, sisters Shirley (Don) Long of Bunnell, FL, and Joann Sintz of Jefferson, OH; his three children Margaret Stanley of Thomasville, Robert Stanley III of Boston, and Mark Stanley of Ochlocknee; his three grandchildren Kelly (Chris) Hurst of Thomasville, Bo Stanley of Thomasville, and Brooke Stanley of Thomasville; his two great-grandchildren Eli Thornton and Jace Hurst of Thomasville, and several nieces and nephews.
