Elvin Ray Jr. (Charles David Stinson), born September 18, 1976, passed away August 26, 2018. A memorial service for Elvin will be held at 11 AM, Monday, September 3 at Albany Bible Church, 100 Grand Island Drive, Albany. Burial will be private.
Elvin attended school in Forsyth, and worked in the heating and air industry in and around the Middle and South Georgia areas. He enjoyed spending time with family, often living near or with family members, including his nephew Johnathan and niece Kimberly. Though he recently moved to Pelham near his father, Elvin had been living in Albany for many years.
Elvin was preceded in death by his mother Pauline Stinson, sister Darlene Hinson, paternal grandparents Johnny and Elizabeth Ray, and maternal grandparents Alpha and Alma(Leslie) Stinson. He is survived by his father Elvin Ray Sr., stepmother Doris Ray; brothers Elvin Gordon (Michelle) Williams, Jonathan David (Cindy) Williams, and Michael Paul (Pricilla) Williams; sisters Tifani (Kevin) Eledge, Misti (Andy) Long, and Rhonda (Robert) Ashcroft; stepbrothers Scott and Ron Lamb; stepsister Katrina Rodriguez; extended family members, Charles and Wilda Hinson, Vic(Sharon) and Rusty(Debra) Johnson, and many other special nieces and nephews.
Elvin struggled with many challenges and health issues, yet he had a special way all his own. And while we will miss him, we are comforted that he is finally at peace with the Lord and with loved ones who have gone before. The family thanks all those who have offered prayers, comfort, and support in any way for Elvin and our family.
