Services for Charles Ray “Charlie” Brown, Jr, 62 of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Marty Carnes will officiate. Mr. Brown passed away December 20, 2015 at Archbold Hospital. Born July 30, 1953 in Abilene, Texas, he was the son of Charles Ray Brown, Sr of Moody, Texas, who survives and Ima Lee Griffith Brown who preceded him in death. He was married to Susanne Fry Brown, who survives. He was a veteran of the US Navy and member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Brown was a branch manager for Blue Bell Creameries, was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army. He loved his job and serving the community through his job. He loved his family and affectionately called them his “sweet sixteen”. He was an amazing Son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and father-in-law. Other survivors include his children, Heather Juras and husband Steven of Woodstock, Mandy Rice and husband Mike and Shelley Wilson and husband Cody all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Conner Juras, Hayden Juras, Anna Grace Rice, Hudson Rice, Ella Kate Rice, Jackson Wilson, Maggie Wilson and Griffin Wilson; brother & sister-in-law, Kenneth& Marie Brown of Houston, Texas; sister, Jeanne Brown of Moody, Texas and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 66, Thomasville, Ga 31799. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
