Mrs. Clark passed early in the morning on Monday, the 29th of May.
On November 2, 1939 in a farmhouse on Enon Road, Thomas County, GA, Irene Tucker and Glen "Doc" Carswell Hutchinson heard the cry of Charlotte Patricia that would announce the arrival of their second of what would become eight children. Charlotte attended elementary and high school at Pavo School. High school brought her many honors as she was a member of the Beta Club, Annual Staff, leading scorer on the basketball team, and voted most friendly person in school.
She met her future husband Ramsey Neil Clark in high school on the school bus. Both families were members of the Enon Baptist Church located a short distance down the road from Charlotte's home. They dated for several years before marrying on December 27, 1957.
Charlotte and Ramsey were living in Pavo, GA when their first son, Timothy Neil Clark, blessed their lives in October of 1958. They were scurrying to finish their home only a matter of weeks before Dain Gregory, their second son, was born in June of 1960. This home was only a few feet down from Charlotte's parents, Irene & Doc Hutchinson.
While her children were at home, Charlotte concentrated on being a good mother and developing her homemaking skills while Ramsey was building his career with Sunnyland. When her children started school, Charlotte went to work first at Baltimore Business Forms, then after six years she joined Ramsey at Sunnyland in the Cost Accounting Department. The local newspaper, Thomasville Times Enterprise, enticed her into employment with them as an advertisement saleswoman, where Charlotte found her niche. She excelled to the top of the division and won awards over five different states, while also forming relationships with several people in the community.
Charlotte retired in 1998 and enjoyed spending a year with her mother before she passed away. In retirement, Charlotte loved working in the yard, traveling, sewing projects, other crafts, and spending her days with Ramsey, the love of her life. Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Irene & Doc Hutchinson, her sister, Anne Freasier, her brother, Glenn Hutchinson, and her beloved son Timothy Neil Clark. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Ramsey Clark and son Dain Gregory Clark and wife Joy (Pavo, GA.) and their children Camden Neal Clark and wife Dana (Thomasville, GA.), Emily Clark Hill and husband David (Little Rock, AR.), and Rachel Clark McNeill and husband Hunter (Little Rock, AR.). Her son Timothy's wife Gail DuPre Clark (Ochlockonee, GA) survives along with her children, Caitlin Clark Muse and husband Josh (St. Simons Island, GA) and Olivia Clark Wilder and husband Todd (Hahira, GA). Charlotte loved getting to enjoy her great grandchildren Micah Joshua Muse, Hutchinson Neal Clark, Ellis Caitlin Muse, Jack Ramsey Muse, Davis Kristin Clark and Tucker Jackson Hill. Surviving siblings include Jean Barone (Summerville, SC), Carolyn Genry (Mobile, AL), Johnny Hutchinson and wife Anne (Dixie, GA), Michele Bruce and husband Mike (Valdosta, GA) and Lori Mann (Valdosta, GA).
