Charlotte Devane Powers

Services for Charlotte DeVane Powers, 79 of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Cooper and Rev. Gary Folds will officiate and interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo. Ms. Powers passed away January 24, 2023 at her residence. Born July 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene DeVane and Louise Evans DeVane. She was a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church where she loved singing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she also liked being outside tending to flowers. She is survived by her children, Pam Powers Hamilton and husband Kent of Norman Park and Michael Todd Powers of Tallahassee, Fl; grandchildren, Courtney Hamilton Griffin, Austin Hamilton, Kaylee Hamilton West and Presley Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Lila, Elsie, Liberty, Anabelle and Hamilton. Brothers, Bobby DeVane and wife Bobbie of Pavo, Paul DeVane and wife Linda of Macon and sister, Janice White and husband Mel of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank DeVane; sisters, Sally Richardson and Edith Rewis.
Donations may be made to Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church, PO Box 675, Ochlocknee, Ga 31773. The family will receive friends 2-3pm, before the service at the church.
