Services for Chester Cooper of Thomasville are at 10:00AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and interment will be in Pavo Lebanon Cemetery. Pallbearers are Rupert Murray, Randy Murray, Joseph Howze, Jason Howze, Mike Moncrief and Marlin Howze. Mr. Cooper died October 18, 2003 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Born August 2, 1913 in Meigs, GA he was the son of the late A. A. and Pearl White Cooper. He was married to Lois Shelley Cooper who preceded him in death. Mr. Cooper was a farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Georgia Cattleman Association and Pecan Growers Association. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Christa and Marlin Howze of Thomasville; stepson, W. J. Murray of Nassawadox, VA; grandchildren, Joseph Howze of Thomasville, Jason Howze of Texas; Rupert and Angela Murray of Lake City, Fl., Randy and Gloria Murray of Spring Lake, N.C., Jeana and Bill Nieporte of Nassawadox, VA. and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gail Thompson. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund, Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, GA 30281-9878.
