Services for Chriso K. Mathes, 92, of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Friday, July 23, 2004 at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church. Father Dionysios Listermann-Vierling will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tommy Mathes, Andy Mathes, Dennis Maggitas, Tommy Maggitas, Johnny Maggitas and Alex Wainer. Mrs. Mathes died July 20, 2004 at her residence. Born December 25, 1912 in Greece she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Eleni Paedas Kakaleoura. She was married to Tom Mathes who preceded her in death. Mrs. Mathes came to Thomasville, GA on January 7, 1949 from Greece with her family. She was a faithful member of The Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church in Tallahassee, FL. Survivors inlcude her children, George and Kathy Mathes, Connie and George Maggitas all of Thomasville, Georgia and Max Wainer of Alpharatta, GA., Angelo T. Mathes of Thomasville, grandchildren, Tommy and Maria Mathes, Dennis Maggitas, Andy and Chrisanthi Mathes, Tommy and Connie Maggitas, Mary Maggitas, Johnny Maggitas, Alex Wainer, great grandchildren, Charles Maggitas, Katerina Mathes, Christina Maggitas, Stephanie Mathes and Katie Mathes. Memorials may be made to The Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church, 1645 Phillips Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
