Christine Jones Cooper

Mrs. Christine Jones Cooper, 92, of Atlanta, GA., died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006. She was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Newnan, GA., youngest of the descendants of John Thomas Jones, Sr. and Sarah Catherine Sewell. She married Carl Raymond Cooper in 1940. He died in 1984 at 80 years of age. Also preceding her in death were brothers Yates Jones, Mutt Jones, Sr., Rev. Duke Jones, Hal Jones, Sr., J. T. "Casey" Jones and sisters, Eura Hyde, Iva Higgins and Sara Day. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Westview Christian Church in Newnan where a memorial service was held Saturday, March 4. Graveside services will be at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Meigs, GA on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 10:30AM. The Rev. Billy Majors will officate.
