Funeral services for Christopher Frank Crane, 19, of Thomasville will be Saturday March 15 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Daniel Smoak will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The son of David T. Crane and Rebecca Ann Myers Crane, he was born on April 4, 1983 in Orlando, Fl. Mr. Crane was a sophmore at the University of Georgia. In 2001, he graduated with honors from Thomasville High School. While attending Thomasville High School, he participated in band, where he was a Drum Line Captian and member of the Jazz Band. He was also a member of the swim team, the golf team and the National Honor Society. At the University of Georgia, he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Mr. Crane was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his parents, David and Rebecca Crane of Thomasville; 2 brothers, Jacob T. Crane of Atlanta and Benjamin Crane of Thomasville; maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Myers of Royal Center, Ind.; and paternal grandmother, Elsie Jane Crane of Greenwood, Ind. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George T. Crane. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Thomasville. Funds will be used for the continued construction of the Roca Eterna Church in Ticul, Mexico, where Chris, affectionately known as Goliad Goliath, traveled for two summer mission trips.
