Funeral services for Christy Norman, 49, of Thomasville will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Norman and Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will be held at Ochlocknee Cemetery. Mrs. Norman passed away on August 17, 2016, at her residence. Born April 3, 1967 in Fresno, California, she was the daughter of Bernard Cannon “Wormy” who survives, and Linda Louise Cannon, who preceded her in death in 2015. Mrs. Norman was a 1985 graduate of Central High School and later graduated from Branell Business Institute in 1992 with an Associates in Business Administration. In 1994, she started working at Astro Pest Control in Thomasville, Georgia, until her retirement in 2014 as administrative assistant. Mrs. Norman was a compassionate fisherman and a true lover of the outdoors. She leaves behind her precious dogs Copper and River along with her two best friends, Debbie Hall and Rhonda Kindred. Mrs. Norman enjoyed nothing more than being outside camping and spending time with her loved ones. She fought a long battle with ovarian cancer for 6 ½ years. Mrs. Norman was married to Robin Norman, who survives. daughters Ashley & Danny Rowland of Tifton, Courtney and Chris White of Valley, Alabama; and son Robbie and Carrie Norman of Ochlocknee and grandchildren Will Rowland, Emily Rowland, Fisher Pair and Samuel Norman; sisters Janice Marie Brinson of Thomasville, Rebecca Lynn Harper of Quitman and LaDonna Gayle Coffee of Quitman; mother-in-law Cherry Davis Norman of Ochlocknee; sister-in-law Suzanne Bush of Ochlocknee and brother-in-law Joel Samuel Norman, Jr. of Albany. One of her favorite quotes was “One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether its guilt, anger, love, loss or betrayal – change is never easy. We fight to hold on and we fight to let go.” The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Guests may sign the online register at
