Claire Marie Hoxie, age 62, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on March 16, 2025. Born on July 22, 1962, in Warwick, Rhode Island, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Rose R Poole. Claire graduated from Scituate High School in Scituate, Rhode Island, in 1981.
On September 8, 1995, Claire married Tom Hoxie in Thomasville, Georgia. They shared a loving bond until Tom's passing in 2023. As a dedicated receptionist at Camellia Gardens, Claire cherished her role and truly felt like family among her coworkers and residents.
Claire had a passion for collecting Garfield memorabilia and listening to Bob Seger and spending time at the beach, however she treasured the moments spent with her family and friends and pets above all. She is survived by her stepson, Thomas Hoxie Jr. (Jessica) of New Hampshire; two granddaughters, Sophia Hoxie and Joeleen Hoxie; her brother, Steven Poole (Cynthia); and two nieces, Bethany Poole and Jessica Poole. Claire is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Hoxie, and her parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 2-4 pm at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel, 110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792.
