Services for Clara Bell NeSmith Carter of Thomasville, Georgia, are at 2:00PM, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Carter died at Camellia Gardens where she was a resident. Mrs. Carter was a member of Northwoods Church of God. She was a lifetime homemaker caring for her husband, Otis, and two children, W.L. and Faye. She worked side by side with Otis in a family owned grocery store, Carter's Grocery, for over 40 years. The Reverend David. E. Ellis will officiate, and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons: Joel Carter, Will Carter, Quinton Arline, and Tyler Arline; nephews: Calvin Suber and Michael Fielding. Mrs. Carter died on August 08, 2013. She was born August 19, 1921 in Thomas County to the late William Henry and Missouri NeSmith who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Otis Carter of 58 years. Also, preceded in death were great-granddaughter, Savannah Ramsey Singletary; brothers: Amos, Albert, and Randall NeSmith; sisters Estelle N. Benton, Nadine N. Tillman, Willie Mae N. Carter, Annie Ruth N. Wooten. Mrs. Carter is survived by brother Howard NeSmith; son W.L. Judy Carter of Ochlocknee, daughter Faye Carter Danny Crosby of Thomasville, grandchildren Joel Alicia Carter, Lynn Carter Greg Arline; Rhonda Crosby Ram Singletary, and five great-grandchildren, Will and Ryan Carter of Thomasville, and Quinton, Tyler and Ellie Arline of Whigham. Special thanks to all of the staff at Camellia Garden Life Center.
