It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Clara Louise Singletary Barnett Donnelly on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was a patient at the Atrium Medical Center of Macon, Georgia as she peacefully slipped away from a short illness at the age of 91. We are heartbroken to lose her but thankful for the years we had to spend with her. Louise was the fifth child of six born in Grand Ridge, Florida to Wallace Fleet Singletary and Ethel Grace McDaniel Singletary. She graduated from Ochlochnee High School in 1948 where was a member of the girls' basketball team. After high school she worked as a cashier for Winn Dixie stores before becoming a Southern Bell Telephone Company operator. Upon her marriage to G.O. Barnett in March of 1970, she retired from Southern Bell and moved to Quincy, Florida and lived there until his death. June of 1983, she married William (Bill) Donnelly and moved to Panama City, Florida, where she lived until Bill's death at which time she moved to Warner Robins, Georgia to live with her sister Glenda. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Grace, and brothers Louis, Willis, and Gene as well as husbands G.O. Barnett and Bill Donnelly. She is survived by sister Glenda Hartnett of Warner Robins, nieces Carla Clark, Karen Archie and Donna Hartnett of Warner Robins, Georgia, nephews Harold Singletary, Michael Singletary of Thomasville, and Keith Singletary of Ralph, Alabama. Stepdaughters Virginia (Ginger) Davis, stepsons Scott Hennesy (MJ), William Hennesy (Diane) and Mason Hennesy (Amber). Grandchildren Virginia Bowers (Chris), Christine Hennesy, Jim Hennesy, Katie Hennesy: great-grandchildren Sara Hennesy, Jack Donnelly Bowers, Harris Catherine Bowers, Cove Hennesy and Nyle Hennesy. Graveside services will be Sunday, October 30 at 4:00 at the Ochlocknee City Cemetery lead by Pastor Jack Hankins of Panama City, Florida.
