Clara Swift Durham

Mrs. Clara Swift Durham, age 91, of Boone, N.C. and formally of Thomasville, Ga. died Saturday morning Oct. 19, 2002 at Glenbridge Health Care Center. She was the widow of the late William Ralph Durham. She was born in Gardner, Fl. to the late Matthew Tyre Swift and Mary Lovette Swift. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Thomasville. Surviving are her son Harvey Durham and wife Susan of Boone,
3 grandsons, Bill Durham and wife Caroline of Raleigh, Bryan Durham and wife Carol Ann of Wilmington, and David Durham of Charlotte, 1 great granddaughter Grace Durham of Raleigh, 1 great grandson Noah Durham of Wilmington. She is also survived by 1 sister-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on 11:00 AM on Monday, Oct. 21, 2002 at the First Baptist Chapel. The family will recieve friends at the church immediately following the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Hospice of Watauga County, 136 Furman Rd., Boone or to the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center, P.O. Box 2600, Boone, NC.
