Clarence Andrew Rayburn, Jr.

Graveside services for Clarence Andrew Rayburn,Jr., 84 of Pavo, will be on Monday, December 30 at 11:00 AM at the Pavo Lebanon Cemetery. Rev. Joe Dunn and Rev. Bonnie DeCuir will officiate. Mr. Rayburn died on December 27 at the Calhoun Nursing Home in Edison, Ga. The son of Clarence Andrew Rayburn, Sr. and Beulah Rowena Patten Rayburn, he was born on October 22, 1918 in Lakeland, Ga. Mr. Rayburn was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver for the Thomas Co. School System. He was married to Dorothy Lee Eddings Rayburn, who survives. Mr. Rayburn was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Shirley Rayburn of Edison, Ga; a sister Betty Jean Peters of Boston, Ga; 3 brothers, Elwood Rayburn of Brunswick, Ga., Carl Rayburn of Boston,Ga and Wallace Rayburn of Augusta, Ga. Also surviving are 2 grandsons, Stan and Stacey Rayburn and 3 great grandchildren, Amanda Leigh Rayburn, Riley Jo Alice Rayburn and Colby Warren Rayburn.
