Services for Clarence H. Wilson, 69 of Thomasville will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Merrillville Baptist Church, where he was a member. Nicholas Carter will officiate and interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Wilson passed away July 8, 2015 at his residence. Born September 12, 1945 in Coolidge, he was the son of the late Thelmer Wilson and Annie Mae Mallard Wilson. He was married to Cheryl Carter Wilson who survives. Mr. Wilson was a United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a farmer and worked at Cives Steel as a tool room clerk. Other survivors include his children, Melissa Lindsay of Pavo and Paul Wilson and wife Shanon of Quitman; special nephew, Nicholas Carter and wife Natalie of Ft. White, Florida; grandchildren, Megan Lindsay and Tyler Wilson; great-grandchild, Braxton Lindsay; great-nephew, Ezra Carter; sisters, Ruth Evans of Tularosa, New Mexico and Kay Barfield of Kendrick, Idaho and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Olan Wilson. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 11, 2015, 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
