Services for Clarice Braswell Singletary of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Barnett?s Creek Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Dr. Julian Pipkin, the Rev. Leon Vanlandingham and the Rev. Steve Wooten will officiate and interment will be in Barnett?s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Griffin, Dale Chason, David Bowden, Jeff Barwick, Mark Smith and Freddie Lyle. Honorary pallbearers will be John Thompson, Jim Thompson, Hubert Miller, Wayland Thompson, Logan Lewis, Billy Joe Lewis, Byron Griner, Perry Savelle, Robert Braswell, Earl Sellars, Fred Stringer, Richard Waitts and Tommy Chason. Mrs. Singletary died October 18, 2004 at her residence. Born May 20, 1924 in Grady Co., GA she was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Catherine Shepherd Braswell. On May 30, 1942 in Mitchell Co., GA she married George H. Singletary who preceded her in death. Mrs. Singletary was a retired secretary from Southwestern State Hospital and worked many years at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong residence of Thomas Co., and was a member of Archbold Auxillary. Survivors include son and daughter, Russ and Suzy Singletary, grandchildren, Belynda and Chris Reneau, Hope and Rudy Thompson, great-grandchildren, Heath Reneau, Tyler Thompson, Jordan Thompson, sister, Dorothy B. Smith all of Thomasville, sister-in-law, Lilly Claire Bowden of Lakeland, FL, special friend, Martha Carter, and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Archbold Foundation, Gordon Ave. at Mimosa Dr., Thomasville, GA 31792 The family will receive friends at Mrs. Singletary?s home at 134 Singletary Road from 7-9PM on Tuesday.
