Clarice Massey Wade

Graveside services for Clarice Massey Wade, 75, of Thomasville, will be held on Monday, December 2 at 11:00 AM at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Florida Street. Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate. Born October 18, 1927 in Cairo, GA, Mrs. Wade was the daughter of Paul Lester and Ruby Dell Hudson Massey, who both preceed her in death. She married S.L. Wade on November 27, 1946, who also preceeds her in death. Mrs. Wade was retired from the Thomas County School System and a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomasville. Survivors include daughter, Janice Wade Waters of Thomasville; son, Samuel L. Wade, Jr. of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Thomas Waters, Jr. of Thomasville, Richard Waters of Missouri, and Tina Waters of Tallahassee, FL; great-granchildren, Crystal Clark, Hannah Waters, Morgan Waters, Trey Waters all of Thomasville; brother Howard Massey; and sisters Opal Williams and Shirley Gandy. Mrs. Wade was also preceeded in death by a brother, Cecil Massey, and a sister, Pauline Hayes. Memorials can be made out to American Cancer Society,Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, GA 31702. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
