Clarice Vonier Clark
Funeral Services for Clarice Vonier Clark, 82, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Chris Lodge and Rev. Joe Dunn will officiate, and interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Clark died July 21 at her residence after an extended illness. Born December 2, 1924, in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late James Wiley and Ida Jarrard Vonier. On November 1, 1942, in Thomasville, she married Harold V. Clark, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1991. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 35 years. She was a much loved member of the community and will be missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Gena Clark of Boston; grandchildren, Staci Clark, Tina Clark, Melissa Compton, Henry Ansley, Robin Kindred, Payton Marshburn and Cody Marshburn; great-grandchildren, Chandler Clark, Branden Compton, Brett Compton, Chelsea Kindred, Jacob Lamb and Hayleigh Driggers; brother and sister-in-law, Freddy and Mary Lou Vonier of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Vonier; and grandchild, Kristen Clark.
