Clinton Ethridge Sanders

Services for Clinton Ethridge Sanders of Meigs, are at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Meigs Baptist Church. The Rev. Merrill Coram and the Rev Allen Pierce will officiate and interment will be in Blakely City Cemetery. Mr. Sanders died August 24 at Hospitality Care. Born December 11, 1921 in Blakely, GA he was the son of the late Ray and Clifford Gill Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a dispatcher for Thomas County Ambulance Service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Mr. Sanders was of the Methodist faith, a Ambassador for the Thomas County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Ochlocknee Civic Club, Meigs Garden Club, Ochlocknee American Legion and was a NASCAR and Braves fan. Survivors include a friends, Margaret Anderson of Meigs, Patsy Wester of Tallahassee, FL, Mary and Ed Smith of Brinson, GA, Marshall Green and Johnny Atkinson both of Thomasville, GA, cousins, Sarah Arnold of Blakely, Billy Lance, Ann Boyd, Ricky Arnold, Donna Balcom all of Blakely. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Sanders. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA 31792.
